Arbor Research Collaborative for Health is announcing a collaboration with Altarum to support the National Hypertension Control Initiative (NHCI), a partnership between the Department of Health and Human Services Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) and the Office of Minority Health (OMH).
The study’s goal is to increase increase provider and staff engagement to implement evidence-based practices that improve clinical quality measures for hypertension control. Arbor Research and Altarum will support up to 150 participating health centers to document, analyze, and help troubleshoot key health center accomplishments and challenges.
“This important initiative addresses longstanding inequities in historically underserved communities that have been magnified and illuminated by the COVID pandemic”, says Dr. Rebecca Mandell, PhD, research lead at Arbor Research. “We are thrilled to be working with our partner, Altarum, to improve health outcomes in this area.”

Arbor Research Collaborative for Health has been awarded a new contract to develop and operate a secure, scalable, and innovative data registry system in support of Michigan’s Obstetrics Initiative (OBI). The initiative, one of several state-wide Collaborative Quality Initiatives (CQI), aims to improve maternal and neonatal outcomes across the state through advanced data-driven insights and
