Arbor Research is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Steve Hines, PhD as a Senior Research Scientist focusing on health services research and strategic partnerships. Dr. Hines brings a wealth of experience and expertise, having most recently led learning community activities for the AHRQ-funded TAKEheart project while his work updating AHRQ’s TeamSTEPPS training curriculum was recently featured on AHRQ’s Patient Safety Network.
With over 25 years of experience in health services research, Dr. Hines’s expertise spans health care implementation, research, technical assistance, and quality improvement. Dr. Hines holds a PhD in Communication from Purdue University, providing him a perspective that will complement those of Arbor Research staff in other fields.
Dr. Hines has a proven track record of securing funding and providing strategic guidance or critical health care initiatives that leverage strategic partnerships with stakeholders including health care providers, universities, professional associations, quality improvement organizations, health care information technology vendors, and advocacy groups.

Dr. Hines’s proximity to Arbor Research’s new office in Northern Virginia will facilitate seamless collaboration with clients and partners in the Washington, DC-Baltimore metropolitan area.
